Mar y Zielo Gastro Bar
This place is one of our favorites in Cartagena and is located inside the walled city. It has a bar with very good cocktails, specializing in colombian ingredients with unique preparations and a rooftop to enjoy the best time.

An excellent bar with 3 different atmospheres. In general, you can find cocktails and exclusive signature dishes, inspired by recipes from around the world, with Colombian ingredients and techniques.

Our recommendation of the place is to go for breakfast, brunch or enjoy a coffee in different methods and preparations such as immersion or French press.
Shoppping mall La Serrezuela
A more quiet place to buy Colombian souvenirs of good Colombian brands.
Rosario Islands
The best option to get there is to take a private boat or get on a catamaran. In the Rosario Islands you can do luminescent plankton tours in the mangroves, snorkeling excursions, scuba diving, partying in Cholon Island or some beach clubs. The price of private boats range from 1.300.000 to 2.800.000 COP depending on the type of boat.
Café Havana
Cafe Havana is the place to be if you like listening or dancing to salsa music. Even if you’ve never danced it in your life, it’s still worth heading to the city’s cultural and party center, Getsemani, to try out this Cuban-style bar.
Viaje en Chiva
Even though Tati doesn´t like it, this is about preferences. A night spent on a chiva (party bus) is a very Colombian activity – expect live musicians playing Vallenato, an open bar with local liquor and a lot of dancing. While the party starts on the bus, you’ll, then, be dropped off at various bars around the city, ending up in a larger club, where your chiva will leave you to dance the night away.
Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas
The Castillo de San Felipe in Cartagena is part of the Cartagena World heritage site, and is the most extensive colonial fortification of all of the Americas. The Castillo de San Felipe fortress was to protect Cartagena from invasion by English, Dutch and French navies - referred to by the Spanish and Latin Americans as "pirates"
El Barón
El Barón is another must in Cartagena for the careful and innovative mixology it offers and a professional but fresh and captivating vibe that harmonizes with the majestic San Pedro Claver square where it is located. They have the largest selection of whiskeys in Colombia and also a wide variety of rums.
La Cocina de Pepina
It is a family-run restaurant located in the Getsemani neighbourhood of the city. This small, simple and traditional Colombian restaurant is hidden down a small side street but it’s worth finding. Often the owners will be around taking orders or helping within the restaurant that serves a delicious fusion of Colombian and Caribbean cuisines through the use of freshly caught seafood as well as meats and delicious soups.
