I got invited to a party in Daly City and I saw him and his friend walk in super late. He wearing a coral shirt and sunglasses at around 8:30. I always thought that it was so funny he wore sunglasses at 8:30 night. I immediately noticed him when he walked in and I just knew we would talk some time that night. He and his friend were talking with someone I knew, so I joined in on the conversation (because I felt like it was the right opportunity to talk cause it was a group and less pressure) and that’s when I met Isaac. I just absolutely loved his smile. We were talking as a group but Isaac and I instantly connected, tried to figure out who we knew at the party, our congregations etc. and the conversation progressed to just him and I talking. 5 minutes into us talking, the party got a noise complaint from the cops so the party got moved inside. I thought that was the end of the conversation and he was going to go with his friends once everyone started moving inside (I was kinda sad for a second) but, he followed me into the kitchen and kept up our conversation (I was super excited). I showed him some of my art work and we found out we both go to SJSU but I never claimed being a student cause I only did online classes haha. I was in a rush to make it back home on time, so I was hoping he’d take the initiative to ask for my contact info before I had to leave…everything felt so perfect I didn’t want to stop talking to him. He was handsome, so sweet, absolutely charming, I just loved how authentic he was. We kept joking trying to figure out our mutual friends and that’s when he asked to follow me on instagram so we could “figure out” who we both knew (I loved how he asked for my instagram). I was ecstatic, BUT I was really hoping he’d ask for my number instead. 5 minutes later he asked for my number so we could make plans together (whew) … and has been my bff ever since. The day we met is honestly one of my favorite memories we share… it genuinely felt so perfect ;)
I met Tatiana on June 25, 2022. That summer, we started going back to meetings in person at the Kingdom Hall and gatherings were happening everywhere. One weekend, my close friend and I went to a party in Daly City. After saying hi to a few people we knew, we ended up hanging out near the food and water table, just talking and having a good time. About 20 minutes into the party, I saw this gorgeous girl walking toward us. She was grabbing water for herself and her friend. I remember it like it was yesterday—once she walked away, I turned to my friend and said, "Bro, before we leave today, I need to know her name." Honestly, I wasn’t sure I’d have the courage to actually do it. A little later, after some music and another 15 minutes or so, my friend suddenly grabbed my shoulder and said, "The window has opened." Basically, my chance to talk to my new crush. As we started walking over, we got sidetracked in another conversation, but after a few minutes, Tatiana and her friend introduced themselves to us. From the moment we said hi, I thought Tati was so pretty, and she seemed like a really smart and funny girl. We started off with some small talk, then got into some light, funny topics. At first, we were outside, but when the hosts announced a noise curfew, everyone started heading inside.Right before we moved in, I turned to my friend and said, "The convo is going great, I really want to see her again. We need to lock in and set some plans up." I tried to stay cool and contain my excitement, but I knew I had to make sure we stayed in touch. Once inside, Tati and I reconnected and picked up right where we left off, continuing our conversation in the kitchen. The more I got to know her, the more I wanted to keep talking. She was indeed smart, a little goofy, and absolutely beautiful. Before the night ended, I made sure to get her contact info so we could make some plans soon. And the rest is history! Looking back, I’m so grateful our first interaction was so natural, authentic, and real—it’s a memory we both cherish.
