Our Story

"I Love You So Brunch!"

Tatiana and Guillermo met on Bumble (you've never heard of a couple meeting on a dating app before, right?!) It was Destiny that Guillermo finally figured out how to sort his messages on the app before almost missed Tatiana's initial message as it near expired. He responded immediately and in no time, they agreed on a first date in the most DC way possible - 'brunching' together in DC. From the moment Guillermo laid eyes on Tatiana, he knew she was his soulmate. The conversation over Mimosas and Bloody Marys came and went so naturally but also ended too quickly. They didn't want the date to end so they kept it going at nearby Garden District on U Street, but not before Guillermo so confidently failed in getting them patio sitting at Le Diplomate along the way. Just like then, Guillermo continues to be headstrong in trying to make the love of his life happy, almost to his detriment. At the conclusion of their successful first date, they would go on many more dates before the inevitable exclusivity talk that came soon thereafter. After spending four seasons growing their love together, Guillermo decided to pop the question on their one year anniversary trip in Philadelphia - in honor their first road-trip together many moons before. Of course, asking for someone's hand during a Pandemic has its challenges so instead of having all their loved ones present in-person like Guillermo hoped for, he was forced to improvise with a surprise Zoom proposal with family and friends present to witness such a beautiful moment alongside them - despite all of Guillermo's shortcomings in executing the call itself. Just like the engagement, wedding planning has been a challenge during these strange times. However, hopes are strong that everything goes ahead as planned, with all of you there to witness Tatiana and Guillermo as they say 'I do' to each other (in-person & virtually), and then celebrate in the same fashion this love story first started - 'brunching'! #MeetLosMedranos
