Our story begins almost 6 years ago. Peter and I met in NY while we were both working as clowns (we still are!). After almost 2 years of friendship, Peter asked me on a date. We spent the day in Manhattan, and he insisted we go out again. He eventually asked me to be his girlfriend, and I said yes, but after a few days I told him no, oops! He still makes fun of me for that! Well, he asked me again to be his girlfriend(I said yes, phew) and we started building our relationship into something amazing. He met my family, and they instantly fell in love with him. I remember my mom telling me how genuine he was, and that he's a keeper. Boy, was she right. Even my dad liked him, my mom and I were shocked! As time went on, Peter and I built a little family together. We started planning for the future. On our 2 year anniversary, he told me he wanted to save for a ring! But, we had to put it off. We decided instead to save up for a company, and move to Dallas, TX. We left our lives in NY behind, and took our selves, Vinny, and our kitty Hobbes across the country.
Christmas of 2018, we had the pleasure of having Kevin and Laura visit us. I mentioned how I'd love for them to meet my mom in March, since we've been together for 3 and a half years, and that's where Peter started planning his move, with my oh so ever gentle nudges:). 2 months later, Peter planned a trip to Colorado. At the time I didn't know why we had to go to Colorado, especially drive there. But we had a friend that moved there, and Peter wanted to visit. So we made the 12-13 hour drive to CO. On the way, one of my oldest friends messaged me, turns out she lives 10 minutes from our Airbnb! How crazy is that? We were so tired from the drive, but met up with our friends, ate good food, chatted up a storm. It was cold, and snowing, and we all went back to hang out by the hot-tub. I wasn't too keen on staying outside, but Peter kept insisting we go out to the snow. I refused. So he took my hand, kissed me, told me he loved me and brought me to the snow. Next thing I know, he's on one knee! I was SO confused. Until it hit me! He asked me to be his wife under a beautiful snowy night, with our friend Franklin, and my oldest friend Alicia cheering. It was magical! He planned the Colorado trip so he could propose in the snow, which was a dream of mine. Oh, and did I mention he learned to say "will you marry me" in Russian?! What a guy, am I right? So begins our next journey <3 as Mr & Mrs.
