We went on a trip to Big Bend National Park in between Christmas and New Years. Since discovering Big Bend, we have visited at least once every year. It's a place we find so magical and enchanting. I mean, the cactus are purple! You can't get much more magical than that. Austin found a way to make the park even more special to us. On the last night of our trip, it was New Years Eve, and we had driven down one of our favorite offroad trails to the southernmost part of the park. I was cooking dinner under the stars and there was no one else around for miles, just me and my love doing what we do best. We were reminiscing and talking about our future, when all of a sudden he was down on one knee! Of course I said yes immediately!
