The year is 1992 and Nirvana's Nevermind album has completely taken over mainstream culture. You and your gang of teenage dirtbags have an empty house to yourselves for the night... BYOB, and if you don't want greasy pizza, eat before you come!
For those who are traveling and don't have family nearby, we will sardine as many of you into our house as we can!!! First come first serve, but let me know ASAP if you think you'll want to stay at our place. Otherwise, there are lots of cool rentals around the Kemah/NASA area, and we are happy to make recommendations for places we are familiar with.
We encourage all guests to wear their best dirtbag/grunge attire. No need for formal reception attire, just do you, but we want to experience the full vibe.
We will be serving Razi-Ritas and Molly Mocktails, but beyond that, it's BYOB! We have a security guard and 2 bartenders serving out of the kitchen that can either hold onto what you bring for your own party, but we recommend bringing a lil lunch box-sized cooler for yourself :)
PLEASE do not feel any obligation to bring gifts of any kind!!! YOUR PRESENCE IS OUR PRESENT! And thank you to those who gifted us last year... we love and appreciate you more than you will ever know!
When you have so many talented friends attending your wedding reception, AND the theme itself is literally a music genre, it's hard to resist the urge to put on a little cover show! Come ready to enjoy.
Our parents/families have already celebrated with us, so this event is intended to serve as a night where we can finally let loose with our young adult friends (that's right, our moms aren't even invited). That said, we DO NOT want guests to be unable to join due to difficulty securing childcare! If you need to bring your kiddo(s) in order to celebrate with us, then dress em up cute and bring them along... but please, please, please note the following: We booked the Windemere Mansion, a historic landmark site about 3 minutes from our house. There are several restrictions at the venue, such as no running and no dancing on the wood floors (there is a tiled sunroom where dancing is permitted and live music equipment will be set up). Please just use discernment in determining whether or not they can adhere to the venue rules so that ole' Tate & Kenna don't get fined :)
