We met as employees at Nelson Dining Hall on the campus of Ohio University (go Bobcats!). Ben's outgoing personality and sense of humor immediately drew me in and it didn't take long before we started dating...but it had to be a secret! Technically Ben was a manager at Nelson, and it was strictly forbidden for managers to date employees. Eventually the news broke and it was very well received! The summer and fall of 2015 were a time of romance and excitement for us. As the years passed we went from living 17 houses away from each other to 200 miles away, as Ben spent his first year teaching in Dayton while I was living in Cleveland. We flew through the long distance phase, eager to be close to each other again! Fast forward to the summer of 2019 when we took a trip back to Ohio University for Homecoming. Ben popped the question and he couldn't have picked a better time or location! We were in one of our favorite places with some of our favorite people. We can't wait to start this next chapter of our lives together, built on a foundation stronger than the brick streets of Athens.
