We hope people will take advantage of this beautiful location and enjoy a few days on your own if you have the time! If you plan to do so, here are a few ideas of things to do around the area.

Grand Lake Marina

1132 Lake Avenue, Grand Lake, CO 80447
, (970) 627-9273

Boat, kayak, canoe rentals. Booze Cruise anyone?? Just a short drive from Granby Ranch, Grand Lake is known as the "Western Gateway" to the Rocky Mountain National Park and has something for everyone. The charming lakeside setting of Grand Lake includes quaint cabins and summer homes lining the shores of the state's largest natural lake. The historic downtown is also home to more than 60 shops, restaurants and galleries. Grand Lake has year-round recreation for everyone to enjoy. In the summer, hike, bike, or ATV through unspoiled terrain or boat, sail, or fish on Grand Lake, home to one of the oldest yacht clubs in the west.

Lake Granby

If you're looking for a closer lake, check out Lake Granby. In fact, this is one of our favorite camping locations if you're in for that type of adventure :) Located on the Colorado River, just 5 miles outside of the town of Granby, Lake Granby encompasses 7,256 surface acres, and is the third largest body of water in Colorado. The lake offers 40 miles of scenic shoreline for camping, fishing or hiking. Popular with boaters, fishermen, and other outdoor lovers, the Lake Granby Yacht Club is also the highest in the nation at 8,280 feet in elevation, the Lake Granby Yacht Club is one of the highest in the nation. Lake Granby is continually stocked with trout and kokanee salmon, keeping anglers busy all season long.

There are so many things to do and see in RMNP! Make sure you book entry in advance as it can be tough to get in with COVID restrictions.

Just 20 minutes from Granby Ranch, Hot Sulphur Springs is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Hike and camp on untouched terrain, catch the big one while you fish the Gold Medal Waters, or enjoy a unique spa experience in the healing waters of the natural hot springs.

Hiking!

There are so many options around. We recommend using the AllTrails app to find one that best suits your needs. Here's another local website that outlines trails near certain areas, by difficulty: https://www.visitgrandcounty.com/play/on-the-trail/hiking

Fly Fishing

This area has wonderful fly fishing options! There is some on the property that can be booked through Granby Ranch for more beginners or more advanced options outside of Granby Ranch.

Mountain Biking

White Water Rafting
