Maid of Honor
I met Tassia way back in high school and have loved being her best friend, confidante, road trip buddy, dance partner, back up singer (but if you've heard Tassia sing it was more like background giggles from me), and many other things. When Tyler came into our lives things changed a little bit, but he seemed to be okay operating as our third wheel. I was initially a little upset by this new arrangement because Tassia and I were planning to buy a best friends house together and live our lives as bachelorettes and Tyler didn't seem fully supportive of this plan. But things have turned out okay, I have been assured I will have [access to] a mother-in-law suite with a garage and pool wherever her and Tyler settle. All in all, I guess I approve of this marriage.

I met Tassia way back when she was born and have loved being her biggest pain, longest road trip buddy, fiercest advocate, most mischievous partner-in-crime and, my personal favorite, her brother. I was very relieved with this arrangement with Tyler as now I get to pass on some of these roles to him I am keeping biggest pain though, sorry Tyler. I’m honored to be a part of this special day in her and Tyler’s life and to celebrate their love

Unfortunately, there was a time when I hated Tyler. It was when we were 8 and on the little league all-star team. Of course, it had nothing to do with Tyler as a person, he was the better short stop and I was forced to move to 3rd base. It wasn’t long after that I realized that maybe we could be the dynamic duo that held down the infield. 20 years later I’m happy to report I no longer hate Tyler and we are still the dynamic duo. Whether I haven’t seen him in 5 minutes or 5 months the relationship has never changed, and I am lucky to know that it won’t change in the next 20 years. I couldn’t be happier that Tyler found someone who can fill his heart as much as I can and I’m looking forward to all the memories we have yet to make. Love you Tyler and Tassia.

As Ty and I started talking about who would marry us over a year ago we would often hear comments from Rem along the lines of "I would do that if you needed," "no really, I promise I won't cry," "mother of the bride gets screwed and doesn't have any special moments at their daughter's weddings." Once we set the date it exacerbated the comments and they turned more to "PICK ME, PICK ME, PICK ME!" "Should I go with Father, Reverend, Minister?" Needless to say we are holding Rem to the promise she won't cry but could not think of a better option to marry us!

Opponents long before we were friends, Tyler and I first clashed on the Little League field. It wasn’t until high school that we found ourselves in the same dugout and enjoying the same parts of life. From afternoon video games to baseball games, from late nights at the pool to midnight wanderings in Italy, from bombing the slopes in Tahoe to sipping wine on warm Livermore afternoons—my friendship with Tyler has been built on our most memorable life experiences. I’ll always cherish our height-mismatched duo and all our adventures, past and future. I’m so proud and excited that Tyler found the love and partnership he now shares with Tassia, and I could not be more eager to see where this next step on their grand adventure takes them. Congratulations, Ty and Tassia! I love you both!
