Things To Do

If you are making a weekend of it here are a few recommendations.

Antique and Vintage Shopping

The town of Purcellville is home to a collection of antique and vintage shops. Check out the map of local stops (linked below) and spend a morning wandering Main Street, or head east to Leesburg with its historic downtown with a variety of antique and vintage finds. The surrounding countryside along Route 15 is dotted with hidden gems. Don't miss miss The Old Lucketts Store and its neighbor Rust and Feathers: two beloved farmhouse-style antique destinations just north of Leesburg.

Wine Tasting in Loudoun County

You're in DC's Wine Country, home to over 40 wineries! A few top choices near the venue include Hillsborough Vineyards & Brewery, Walsh Family Wine, Sunset Hills Vineyard, and Tranquility Farm & Winery. Many wineries require reservations, so be sure to check websites or call ahead.

Bears Den Park Trail (Bluemont, VA)

Bears Den on the Appalachian Trail (Bluemont, VA) is a 1.7-mile casual hike offering stunning views of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding mountains.

Dining in Purcellville

Purcellville has no shortage of great places to eat while you're in town: Market Burger Fries and Shakes, Magnolias at the Mill, and The Wine Kitchen are great. In nearby Lovettsville (a scenic, 20-min drive away), Market Table Bistro is a wonderful option.

Day Trip to Harpers Ferry, WV

Harpers Ferry sits at the crossroads of three states and four national park sites, offering some of the most striking views in the region. Walk the historic Lower Town, visit John Brown's Fort, hike to Jefferson Rock, and catch views where the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers meet. River Riders is highly recommended for white water tubing down the Potomac if you want a little adventure.
