Tasi and Jahon first met in middle school, when Jahon moved his eighth-grade year to Luella Middle from Stockbridge in 2014. They were on separate academic teams at opposite ends of the hallway, making their interactions limited and typically initiated through other friends. It wasn't until high school where Tasi and Jahon started taking similar classes that resulted in them being around each other regularly and getting to know each other more personally as classmates. From there, they continued their high school careers as friends, often asking to copy each other's work on an assignment or help studying for an upcoming test. The nature of their relationship remained consistent until the end of Junior year. At the end of Junior year going into the Summer, Tasi began to develop a crush on Jahon. Soon, she was telling friends at school and teammates from volleyball that her and Jahon would make a great couple, look good together at senior prom, and ultimately get married. These feelings continued to grow over the Summer with no actual communication being made to Jahon. During the last week of Summer before senior year, Morgan (Maid of Honor) invited Tasi and a friend to the bowling alley after a late volleyball practice. Morgan texted Tasi, urging her to come out since Jahon was going to be there amongst other friends from school. After five minutes of getting ready, Tasi and her friend were on the way to meet Morgan and other friends from school with the hidden goal of making Tasi and Jahon a "thing." Once there, Tasi put herself in situations where she would be directly next to Jahon and close to him throughout the night. At one point, all the friends from school made their way to the parking lot to hangout. Jahon remained inside since he wanted to finish his single game of bowling before rejoining the group. Tasi stayed back to watch him finish his game, making conversation about his bowling skills compared to Tasi's lack of bowling skills. During this time, Morgan was outside hanging with the group of friends from school and told one of Jahon's friends that Tasi had a huge crush on Jahon. The two agreed that Tasi and Jahon would make a great couple given their personalities and caring for others. Once Tasi and Jahon rejoined the group they split up, Jahon going with the guys and Tasi going with the girls. Jahon's friend ended up telling him that Tasi had feelings for him which Jahon had a hard time believing. Morgan filled Tasi in on what all had just taken place, causing her to feel anxious as she waited for his response. Nothing was addressed within the next five-minutes and everyone started packing into their cars to go home, ending the night. Jahon came up to Tasi, asking for her number before he told her goodbye and gave her a hug. Later that night, Jahon ended up facetiming Tasi and saying, "I heard that you like me, is that true?" Tasi replied "yea," nervously and proceeded to talk on the phone for the next two hours until 2 in the morning. And now here we are!
