The first time Tashana and Brian met was back in 2013, 3 years before they started dating. They often bring up the picture of that night of Tashana with Patrick (Patrick the Parrot) as their first encounter. Brian still doesn’t know who impressed her more, him or Patrick? Fast forward to 3 years later, T&B ran into each other at KinFolk in Williamsburg through the same mutual friends (we’ll save giving official credit for later) They laughed, danced and took a polaroid pic with T’s last shot. Next day, he asked her out on a proper date. They learned quickly that while they had some common interests, opposites do attract. Someone was an introvert, enjoys horror movies & takes forever to get ready. The other is an extrovert, enjoys playing pool at Redds & a true creature of habit. Nevertheless, they always inspired one another, made each other smile & put each other first. They both love the beach, plants, drawing & home cooked meals. Stories began to stack up & moments stood still at times. While we won’t get into all of them, here’s a couple highlights. More to come in Jamaica! --> B’s first few dates were all at caribbean restaurants in NYC. T still wants to know who gave him this advice? --> T brought B to Jamaica in Sept. 2017 to introduce him to her homeland. B tried Curry Goat & then learned it is his favorite meal. -->The first time T met B’s fam was for a day in the city, T was having a great hair day but mother nature had other plans and it stormed and everyone was soaked. --> B met T’s Mum in April 2018. They immediately called each other Mummy & Son. --> T moved in with B on April 28, 2018. They celebrated at Redds that night. --> B proposed to T at Rockaway Beach on July 23, 2020. The ice cream was melting while he proposed… but she said YES! Please join us in celebrating our vows and commitment to one another. We’re really excited to unite our two cultures and backgrounds in a tropical paradise around people we truly care about.
