We're so excited to celebrate with you all!

Ta’Shanda and Luis met by chance in 2015. She had recently graduated from ASU while Luis had just moved to the valley to attend her alma mater. Luis was randomly assigned to move into an apartment with one of her close friends from college (Hi, Jerry!) and her friend group, affectionately known as "The Crew", would frequent their apartment to hang out on the weekends. Slowly but surely, Luis warmed up to them and began to show his winning personality. One fateful day Luis joined Ta'Shanda on a hike at Tom's Thumb then dinner at Gangnam Grill. They had a good enough time that they made plans to go on a hike in Sedona in two weeks and honestly, they've just been hanging out ever since. From this friendship (and some egging on from their friends), Luis and Ta'Shanda both began to realize, maybe there is something more here and by the end of 2016, they were officially dating. On a trip down to Tucson for Ta'Shanda's father's birthday, Luis popped the question with the help of her family. Everyone led her to believe that they were going to celebrate his special day then take their annual Christmas photos but while taking photos, Luis turned to face Ta'Shanda and got down on one knee. All the while, Luis's parents were on FaceTime and Ta'Shanda's mom, Felicia, was preparing to bring out a sweet surprise. Luis nervously asked "Will you marry me?" and Ta'Shanda eagerly said, "Yes, I will". Shortly after, Felicia and Lonnie brought out their engagement banner and Instagram-worthy photo frame.
