FAQs

The Wedding Website of Tasha Gould and Morgan Carter
If you have questions which aren't answered here, please reach out to Kim via text (217 695 7245).
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 15, 2023. RSVPs can be sent via our wedding website (you're already here!). If you need assistance with this, please reach out to Kim.

Question

Can I bring a date? What about children?

Answer

Please no plus 1's. While we would love to be able to celebrate with as many people as desired, our venue capacity is strictly capped. Your invitation lists the number of seats dedicated to your party, including children. We are allowing children to attend the wedding, we just ask that their adults wrangle them as-needed.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are! We're registered at BB&B, but we love supporting local artists, woman-owned/POC-owned small businesses, and unique creators! If you'd prefer to go that route, please feel absolutely welcome to do so!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There is a scheduled pick-up at the hotel at 1:45 pm, and pickup from the venue at 8 pm. The venue is on top of Lookout Mountain, and we highly recommend using the shuttle. You do NOT want to be drinking and driving on that mountain (or at all, really)!!!!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is free at the venue! If you decided to take private transportation to the Mansion, there is a decently large dedicated parking lot. We strongly suggest *not* taking a ride-share service as the venue is not centrally located and it is unlikely a ride will be available to pick you up at the end of the evening. We are in the process of finding out if you can leave the car there overnight and head back to the hotel in a shuttle. The address is on your invitation so you can use a gps to find your way.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Please wear clothes. This is the important part. We are requesting semi-formal/cocktail. The venue has uneven cobblestone ground and is at the top of the mountain, so please bring warmer attire for when the sun retires for the evening.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a block of studio suites and 1bd suites at the Residence Inn City Center for April 20th and April 21st. Please navigate to the "Travel" page on this site for more information. There are a few hotels in Golden, however, if you'd prefer to stay nearer to the venue. These hotels will not be serviced by the transportation to/from the wedding.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have food allergies, please try to submit it with your RSVP. If you have missed it, please reach out to Kim (217.695.7245), and we will have the caterers accommodate you as best we can. Common Food Allergies we will already be accounting for: Gluten, Shellfish, Nuts, and will be marking things as GF, Vegan, or Vegetarian

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The venue is wheelchair accessible, with the exception of the upstairs groom suite.

Question

Will there be a wedding day timeline?

Answer

Please take a look at the tab on the website called “Schedule” to find the answer to this question, and if you have questions about it, please text Kim.

Question

Which airport is closest?

Answer

DIA - Denver International Airport will be the one you need to fly into if this is your mode of travel.

Question

What will the weather be like? Is the event indoors or outdoors?

Answer

April in Colorado is typically fairly warm, averaging in the 70s and sunny. The mansion is located on the top of a mountain, and is typically 10-20* cooler than Denver. The ceremony and cocktail hour will both be outdoors, and the reception will be in the main hall of the Mansion. In the event of inclement weather, tents will be provided for the ceremony and cocktail hour.

Question

What Covid-19 measures will be in place on the day?

Answer

We strongly recommend that those attending be double-vaccinated and boosted. Masks are encouraged for those who are not able to do this, but are not required. This is a happy occasion. Please keep the politics nonexistent.

Question

Can I take any of the centerpieces home as a souvenier?

Answer

As many of the decorations are handcrafted or are part of a collection, please do not take them home. We know, they're super pretty and would look nice on your mantle, but please do not.

For all the days along the way
