I knew right from the start that I wanted this woman to be my wife.  I struggled with making it happen because of my fears, doubts, and struggles.  Soon enough I got over those things, deciding that it was time to make her my wife.  After purchasing her ring months before, I planned an elegant dinner with all of our closest friends and family, for her birthday.  I just hoped and prayed that everything would go as planned.  At the birthday dinner, after surprising her with so many things, she still didn’t see my proposal coming.  While singing Happy Birthday, she turned her back to me in excitement and I chose that moment to get on my knees.  I waited for her to turn toward me and when she did there I was on my knees, ready to pop the question.  Holding back emotions and tears, my exact words were, “I love you yo…I dead love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.  Will you marry me?”  She, overwhelmed with emotion, simply said “Yes!”
