What date should I RSVP by?
Answer
Most of you have mailed back your RSVPs. Thank you. If you would like to respond here on the website too, that is fine. If you initially responded yes and now are unable to make it, please inform us here by declining your invite. RSVPs will be accepted until June 25th. This will help us to have the most accurate head count for our special day. Thank you so much.

What is the address of the wedding ceremony and reception.
Answer
We will have both the ceremony and reception at the same location. Deep Creek Landing Marina 200 Old Marina Lane Newport News, VA 23602

What is the easiest way to get to and from the venue?
Answer
The easiest way to the venue is off of Interstate 64 West. Get off on exit 256A Oyster Point Rd. Venue is approximately 4 miles after getting off the exit.

Have we reserved blocks of rooms at any of the hotels?
Answer
We have booked rooms for a handful of the elders in the family. For everyone else, there is a list of local hotels on our website. We have included the approximate cost per night for the rooms and how far away they are from the venue. Most of the hotels listed are less than 4 miles from the venue.

What is the dress code for the wedding?
Answer
We are asking that everyone dress in Cocktail attire. Please refrain from wearing any T-shirts, jeans, or sneakers. If you would like to dress in the color theme from the wedding, you are welcomed to wear any form of Terracotta, Midnight Blue, Black, or Ivory. Yes, if your heart leads you to wear Ivory, go for it! Tasha is not a bridezilla and will be excited to see everyone regardless of what color you’re wearing.

Are plus-ones or children allowed?
Answer
If your initial RSVP included a plus 1, we have accepted it. We will not accept any further plus ones at this time. There will be a handful of children present at the wedding as they are apart of the wedding party. This is an adult function!!!! There will be alcohol. There will be adult type dancing. There may be times where people use occasional profanity. If this will offend anyone in attendance, we send our apologies in advance. BUT WE ARE GONNA PARTY AND CELEBRATE OUR LOVE

Where are you registered for wedding gifts?
Answer
We did not opt for a gift registry. We have lived in our home for a few years and basically have the things we need. We do have a honeymoon fund that we would ask guests to contribute to instead. We are traveling to Africa and thank you in advance for anything you gift to us to help make our trip memorable.

Is it ok to post wedding photos on social media?
Answer
We love that we are sharing our special day with all of you. We ask that you allow us to post photos first before posting your own pictures of our day. Thank you for understanding.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony starts at 3p. We are asking everyone arrive by 2:30 and find your seat so we can begin promptly. We will try our hardest not to be on CP time 😂. We respect your time and thank you for spending it with us.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
There is parking on site for everyone. There will be staff in the parking lot to show everyone where to park their vehicles and keep things moving smoothly.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
There will be no shuttles to or from the venue from your hotel rooms

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
We are working on a list of things for the guests to do after the wedding. We will update the website when we have that information to share with everyone.
