Engagement Story

The luck of the Irish (and the Welsh)

After Tash always said she wanted to get engaged somewhere hot, Edz naturally planned to take her to Ireland in February. After initially incorrectly booking flights to Belfast, Edz re-booked the flights to Dublin and they were finally on their way. Edz revealed the destination at the airport, surprised and confused, Tash agreed to get on the plane. After a very short flight and sat apart (because their love couldn't justify the extra cost to sit together) they landed in Dublin and picked up the hire car. A 3 hour drive later, they arrived at the Cliffs of Moher. A picturesque cliff landscape on the West coast of Ireland. With a limited window of sunshine, they raced to a secluded point on the cliff and took a minute to relax. Edz set up his phone and got down on one knee, to which Tash said Yes, finally! They finished the walk and enjoyed a celebratory meal of Fish and Chips whilst calling their loved ones. They then took the time to watch the video back, realising that Edz had managed to miss the proposal in the video and captured only his shoes (laces weren't even tied). Despite all this, Tash finally admits that the proposal was perfect. We can't wait to have more success in capturing videos (and pictures) with you all to celebrate our engagement and marriage.

A cause close to our hearts

The UK government are making substantial changes to inheritance tax for farmers which will have a large impact on generational farming. Edz and his family have been incredibly lucky to have grown up on Gesail farm which has been in his family for generations and is currently run by Gwyndaf (Edz's dad) and John (Edz's Uncle). We would be grateful if you could please take a moment to sign this petition and join us in supporting farmers across the UK (please copy and paste into browser): https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/700138 The venue is a working farm barn (pray for us) which is being temporarily converted with lots of help from friends and family to host the special day. We can't wait to celebrate on the farm with you.
