We're With The Band....

Maggie Ivich

Best Maid

The "wake me up before you go-go" to my "wake me up inside" / When Maggie moved to Chicago in 2014, we sized each other up and decided there was, in fact, room in this town for the two of us. Ever since, we've been pretty inseparable; be it getting impromptu tattoos in a roadside town, taking grass naps at Riot Fest, or god forbid, growing up. -T

Joey Pasterski

Man of Honor

I was Joey's best man and now he's mine. That's pretty cool. We've been friends through grade school, catholic church, high school, and even moved to Chicago together. We've played music and traveled the country in rickety vans playing gigs for enough cash for gas money and a place to sleep. Joey's always ROCKED as a friend, which is perfect because he's a Rock Doctor now! - N

Casey Sachse

Bridesperson

Case and I both moved to Chicago when we turned 18, them from KY & me from CA. We ended up working together at L2O, and by proxi, growing up together as we navigated our new lives in this new city. Did I temporarily live on an air mattress on Casey's floor? Yes. Did we take a newborn baby on a Greyhound bus to Kentucky? Also yes. -T

Tory Dahlhoff

Groomsman

Tory has been a close friend since grade school. Growing up we worked on so many creative projects together including music and amatuer move making. Always the director of the group, Tory is likely to have the most incriminating video evidence of embarrassing short films, backyard concerts, and general bafonary. -N

Jasmine Vukmarkovic

Bridesmaid

Jas & I lived together when we were 23 and just figuring out what kind of adults we were going to be (through trial and error...) She has always been the most loyal, grounded, encouraging presence throughout all of life's otherwise inconsistent and treacherous ups & downs. -T

Ryan Culbertson

Groomsman

In high school, Ryan played in a comedy-punk band known as the TeaBags. Our crew (me, Joey, Tory & Todd) often rented out VFW halls and put on shows with the local garage/punk bands. During one such show Ryan & the TeaBags showed up and told the door person they were playing the show that night (showing a fake show flyer as evidence) Appreciating the bold move by these freshman pirates, we let them join the bill. Wouldn't have it any other way. - N

Emily Condon

Bridesperson

Em and I met at the same time and in the same way as I met Neal! They have been along for the whole journey - from being the very first person I told at work that I had a crush on Neal, to standing beside me as he becomes my husband! Em quickly became a permanent addition to our forever friend group, and we have the tattoos to prove it ;) -T

Sagan Jacobson

Groomsman

In the early 2000s (circa 2008) the Brother George group (me, Ryan, Tory & Joey) played a gig in Bloomington/Normal with our band-friends, Ohtis. At the show we ran into this Sagan character, who it turns out, lived in Chicago (like us!) and grabbed a ride back to the city with us in the van. He proceeded to crash at the Brother George house for a week (yes all the band fellas lived in the same house in Chicago in our early 20's and it was loud and dirty and amazing) We collaborated on music all week and thusly Sagan joined the band. -N

Grace Comerford

Bridesmaid

Grace came to us as a friend of Jasmine's.... but instantly did us the honor of completing our girlbossing girlgang (said with so much irony) She has never failed to cheers to our successes, or to our setbacks. If our friend group was a little wooden doll, she'd be the wish that turned us into a real boy. -T

Ross Schaefer

Groomsman

You play a lot of pool when you're in a band, so much so that most venues have a table for bands to use during down time between sound check & the show. We met this Ross fella, he runs pool leagues in Chicago and is a SWELL GUY. So we put a team together and joined his league. Well, the team fell apart, but Ross continued to be a swell guy and dear friend. He's the most gracious host, and is the man that has the BBQ last minute when all the plans fall through. He's the guy that calls just to see how you're doing. Ross has a potluck on the 4th of July, and you bring your best dish and favorite wine, because he would do the same for you. -N
