Dress code for the wedding and ensuing events is semi-formal so you don't have to be as classy as James Bond but still classier than wearing jeans.
The venue we have selected has accommodations for both inside and outside events. If the weather is nice the wedding ceremony will be held outside with the cocktail hour and reception held inside two separate barns. If the weather is less than desirable, all events will be held inside, so rest assured you won't have to go venturing into a tsunami for the ceremony portion...
We have hired a photographer to capture all of the amazing memories and ugly crying that may take place during the wedding ceremony, so we ask that during the ceremony guests stay off of their phones. During the rest of the night we wish to keep the phones to a minimum but if you see the perfect photo snap moment, then please snap away!
As you may have guessed from the invites there is a spooky theme to the wedding as it is in October, which is arguably the best month of the year. We are hoping to keep the ceremony itself more on the traditional side of things with a color palette of lavender, ivory, and navy blue. When we transition to cocktail hour we will begin to incorporate some more fall vibes with some pumpkins, etc. to the décor. Finally, the reception will be the spookiest of all with some Halloween themed drinks and place holders. But rest assured, we haven't invited Dracula or the Wolfman so the ambiance should be the only spooky thing the whole night.
We will have hors d'oeuvres and drinks available during cocktail hour, followed by a plated dinner during the reception with some more drink options through the night to help keep your energy levels up as you dance the night away.
While the night may be spooky, our drinks don't have to be - We will have a selection of both haunted (alcoholic) and exercised (non-alcoholic) beverages, including a high quantity of necessary Dr. Peppers for our Texas family members.
