Vince and I met while working at courthouse. The first time we saw each other depends on who you ask. If you ask me...the first time I saw him was in Judge Syrios’ courtroom. I saw him and immediately asked one of the other deputies about him. I had a crush on him for awhile, but kept it to myself because I thought he liked one of my friends (he didn’t). I also thought he was only 24 and much too young for me. Now, if you ask Vince, he first saw me at the jail. He claims I was mean to him, but I have no recollection of this! We finally connected at a Halloween party that my good friend, Whitney, hosted. After a few rounds of beer pong and flip cup, I started trying to flirt. Eventually, he approached me and we started getting to know each other. At the wedding, you should ask Vince what he said when he approached me. I could tell you here, but it is much better when you hear him tell it! Our relationship grew very quickly and he asked me to marry him on Christmas day 2019! He did it at my dad’s house and everyone was in on it. I had no clue! I ugly cried, but it was the most amazing day! Vince is a Sedgwick County Sheriff Deputy and I am a criminal defense attorney. Sounds like an odd combo, but we make it work! He has two kids that have brought an unexplainable amount of joy to my life. I already had one cat when we met, but we have added another cat and a dog. Our animals have the craziest personalities and have made wonderful additions to our family. We are so excited to have all of you celebrate with us as we vow our lives to each other!
