Annie and I first officially met in Fall of 2023, at a UCF football game. We had seen each other around our campus ministry, but had not introduced ourselves yet. I had thought she was really pretty, but also so genuine to talk to. After the game, Annie had followed me on Instagram, which made me smile. For the next year or so, Annie and I would see each other around our campus ministry. Now, we talk about how we looked for each other throughout events, however at the time it was not as obvious. Through smaller conversations throughout the year, I was drawn to her warmness as she talked. To be honest, if I wasn't neck deep in my career skating down parking garages and intramural volleyball, we probably would have dated sooner. Starting out Fall of 2024, it turned out that Annie and I would help lead our international Bible study together within our campus ministry. This was a huge win. To add on to this assist from God, I had recently lost my car from a wreck, so I also needed rides to our Bible study nights. Out of some nerves, I prepped some questions to ask Annie on our first car ride, and she had some ideas prepped too . This time was such a gift in that we really got to know each other and become friends. After about two months, I asked Annie out on a date. She said yes, and after some advice from Ben Rector, it was genuinely one of the sweetest memories that we share together. A couple days later, I asked her to be my girlfriend, and we started our relationship and day by day experienced how great of a gift giver God is. Fast forward to exactly a year later, I asked Annie to marry me. She said yes. As we both reminiscence on our story and look forward to our future together, we are so thankful to all our friends and family that have poured into us individually and together throughout the years. We are so excited to celebrate with you on August 2nd!
