Our story began in 2021 in Bahrain on an ultimate frisbee field. What started as a shared activity slowly turned into a friendship that grew stronger over time, even as life took us in different directions. In April 2023, we found ourselves in California at the same time and decided to meet up. That short visit reminded us how easy things felt when we were together. Sara later returned to Bahrain for the summer, and with more time spent together, our connection continued to deepen. By the fall, travel once again brought us to the same place. Sara had planned a short stay in Germany on her way back, and Tariq happened to be planning a trip through Europe at the same time. When our paths crossed there, we spent days talking, exploring, and laughing, and it became clear that what we shared was more than friendship. In September 2023, we officially became a couple. Since then, travel has become one of our favorite ways to experience life together. No matter where we are, being together always feels like home. On April 19. 2025, on a quiet canal in the Netherlands, Tariq asked Sara to spend forever with him. That same summer, we fell in love with Greece and knew it was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding and begin this next chapter side by side.
