When and where are the Wedding Receptions occurring?

Answer

All Main Religious & Cultural Ceremonies/Receptions (Mehndi, Rukhsati, Valima) will be occurring during New Year's Weekend 2022 in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan with Pakistan Based family and close friends. There will be a Separate General Wedding Reception during Thanksgiving Weekend in Hartford, Connecticut, USA on November 26, 2022 to celebrate with North American Based family and friends.

Can I attend wedding events in Pakistan?

**Important Information for US/CANADA/UK Based Family & Friends** Yes, absolutely! If you are firmly committed to attending any events in Pakistan, please let Rubina know ASAP! *Non-Pakistanis* Expedited Visa Processing can take up to 8 weeks (or more) so make sure to submit your visa request at least 2 months before your travel date. There are Pakistani Consulate Embassy Offices in Boston, New York City, and Washington DC. We do understand that it may be difficult for the vast majority of our US/CANADA/UK family friends given COVID-19 global protocols and a usually lengthy, complicated, and cumbersome visa approval process by Pakistani Embassy Authorities. Don't worry though! We will be celebrating with everyone in Connecticut in the Winter of 2022! 🙂

Can I attend the wedding reception in the United States?

**Important Information for Pakistan Based Family & Friends** Unfortunately, due to an immense immigration backlog caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the US Embassy's approval turn around time for the B2 Visitor Visa has been estimated to be about 1 year. 😔 Don't worry though! We will be celebrating during the entire New Year's Weekend in Pakistan with our families! 😊

بدقسمتی سے کوویڈ نے امیگریشن کا ایک بڑا بیک لاگ بنا دیا ہے۔ امریکی سفارت خانے کو B2 وزیٹر ویزا کی منظوری میں ایک سال لگے گا۔ 😔 اگرچہ فکر مت کرو! ہم اپنے خاندان اور دوستوں کے ساتھ نئے سال کا اختتام پاکستان میں منائیں گے۔ 😊
