Tarin was friends with Kaylie and Alex because they went to college together and Matt and Alex are childhood friends. Somehow, they never crossed paths. Then one day Matt was visiting Alex, and Tarin saw a picture of him on Kaylie's Snapchat and told her, "Dang he's really cute!" She gave her his Snapchat and they slowly started talking. Once Tarin adopted her dog, Matt used that as an excuse to come see her. The first time they met was when Matt decided to drive 5 hours from Everett, WA to Post Falls, ID to see her for the weekend. About 30 minutes after Matt left that weekend he texted Tarin and said, "So what are we doing this weekend?" And from there they were inseparable. 4 months of long-distance later Matt moved to Post Falls, ID, and 5 months after that he proposed.

After dating for 9 months we had a couples photoshoot planned for that evening at Manito Park in Spokane, WA. While we were taking pictures in the prettiest part of the Park; Matt gave a speech, got down on one knee and popped the question.
