There are three 18-hole golf courses located on property at the Omni: Fazio Canyons, Fazio Foothills, and Coore Crenshaw. Prices range between $320–$400 per person per round. Fazio Canyons is set to host the Good Good Championship’s debut on the PGA Tour in early November 2026. Tee times can be booked 120 days in advance, so we recommend calling the pro shop on June 19th to secure your tee time for any of the days leading up to our wedding. Each tee time must be reserved by one guest staying at the Omni; however, a foursome can include up to three guests not staying at the Omni. Club rentals are also available for $120.

Lady Bird Lake runs through the heart of downtown Austin and is framed by beautiful skyline views - it's also where we had our first date! A little fun fact: the lake was renamed in 2007 after Lady Bird Johnson, the former First Lady who championed the beautification of Austin’s natural spaces. Before that, it was simply known as Town Lake, a place that now holds such a special part of our story.
One of Austin’s most iconic activities is watching the bats fly out from under Congress Avenue Bridge over Lady Bird Lake. Each evening, up to 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats fill the sky. If you’re in town, we recommend catching them just before sunset. Thank these bats for eating all the mosquitos in Austin.
South Congress Avenue (SoCo) is a very fun street to walk, with tons of shops and great spots to eat. It’s an easy place to spend an afternoon or evening grabbing coffee, a bite to eat, or just strolling around.
Barton Springs is a natural spring-fed pool located in Zilker Park. The water stays cool year-round, making it a favorite place of ours to swim and relax. Surrounded by grassy hills and big oak trees, it’s an Austin classic.
Zilker Park is one of Austin’s most popular green spaces, just minutes from downtown. It’s our go-to spot for picnics and walking around, and it connects directly to the Lady Bird Lake trail.
Mount Bonnell is a well-known viewpoint overlooking Lake Austin. There is a short climb up a stone staircase to get to the top, where you’ll find views of the city and surrounding hills. It’s a popular spot for sunsets and photos. The whole visit typically takes under an hour, as it’s primarily a quick scenic lookout.
If you want to see some Texas history, you can check out the Capitol Building (or even the LBJ Presidential Library nearby). You can walk through on a self-guided tour or schedule a guided tour. This is a 1-2 hour activity.
If you want good Texas BBQ near Downtown, we recommend Terry Black’s! This is a walk-up, no-reservations restaurant and usually has about a 20-minute wait in line. Tarin loves their turkey and cornbread while Matt likes their brisket and sausage.
If you want a classic TexMex meal and a strong drink, we recommend Matt’s El Rancho! This is a walk-up, no-reservations restaurant with a typical wait time of 15–30 minutes. We recommend getting there before 6:30 PM to beat the rush. Matt recommends the Bob Armstrong dip!
