Where is the venue?

Question
Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony will take place at the outdoor open-air chapel on property (weather permitting). There is a contingency plan for the ceremony if we are unable to use the chapel that day - ceremony would be under the covered-deck at the Ranch House. The cocktail hour will be held indoors at the Ranch House, but guests are free to enjoy the lawn/surrounding area outside as well. The reception will be "outdoors" under the covered deck.

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s)?
Answer
Yes, transportation will be provided from (1) the Sheraton McKinney Hotel to the venue and (2) from the venue back to both the Grand Hotel and Sheraton McKinney Hotel. There is limited space on our provided transportation, so for guests choosing other transportation options, we recommend Lyft/Uber or driving a vehicle to the wedding venue (there is a gravel lot at Avalon for parking). Please continue checking the wedding website for updates on the transportation schedule.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?
Answer
Yes, there is a gravel parking lot where guests may park their cars. The lot is located outside the front of the Avalon Legacy Ranch House. There will not be a valet, but someone from the venue will be outside directing vehicles where to park.

What type of food will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?
Answer
We'll be serving some appetizers during cocktail hour, followed by Tex-Mex (buffet style) for dinner. And of course, there will be cake!

Even the best parents need a break sometimes! Take yours at our wedding, which has been planned as an adults-only event (21 and over).

Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire.

What does the wedding-day timeline look like?
Answer
*Subject to change. The ceremony at the outdoor chapel will begin at 5:00 PM and is scheduled to last approximately 30 minutes. There will be a cocktail hour at the Ranch House (walking distance from ceremony area) immediately following the ceremony. After cocktail hour, the reception will start around 6:30 PM. Please see "Schedule" tab for more details.

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

The reception will end around midnight. For those who want to continue celebrating, come join us on the square!
