We met online while on opposite sides of the world! I was working in Sydney and Zach was in Portland, but we struck up a conversation and exchanged messages for a couple of weeks before finally meeting in person. Zach asked me out the minute I landed back in PDX, we met up for drinks that following Friday, and the rest is history. We've been practically inseparable ever since.

Shortly after Christmas, Zach asked me if I'd like to go out to Angel's Rest, which has always been one of our favorite trails in the Gorge. I had no idea that he had arranged for my best friend and his brother, another one of our closest friends, to meet us at the summit. When we got to the top, it was so blustery that I almost didn't go all the way to the end. Zach, however, promised that there would be a surprise waiting for me - and he was not kidding! He got down on one knee near the bench that overlooks the Columbia, and I said yes while full on ugly crying into the 30mph winds.
