FAQs

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Holy Name Cathedral: The parking at Holy Name Cathedral is free. The address of the parking garage is 14 W. Superior Street, between Dearborn and State Street, and is located below the tall tower of the new One Chicago Square complex on Lower Level One and Lower Level Two. Validation is available in the Cathedral Vestibule. The Warwick Allerton: The Spot Hero app is highly recommended. Valet parking at the Warwick is $35 for wedding day. For overnight guests, the valet rate is $72/night. If you are flying in, we recommend taking the train into the city and using Uber during your time downtown rather than renting a car.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by November 1, 2025 on our website.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Formal. We recommend long dresses for the ladies with a pea coat or winter overcoat and shoes comfortable enough to walk 0.25 miles from the cathedral to the reception (although transportation can be arranged.) For men, we recommend a formal suit with a coat.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The reception is a 0.25 mile walk (2 blocks) from the cathedral. You are welcome to arrange a private taxi or uber.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony at Holy Name Cathedral at 3:15 pm CST.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know of any food allergies by October 1 so we can accommodate.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes!
