It’s time for the wedding

We met at an orientation for a work-from-home job we both happened to be hired for. At the same moment that I was judging him for being late and slipping into the elevator just as the doors were closing (total movie moment), I was also telling myself that I’d find a seat next to him even if it weren’t my preferred front and center of the “classroom.” I thought my plans were foiled when I realized there were assigned seats, only to be pleasantly surprised when he sat down next to me at the only table for two. At the end of the day, we said our goodbyes assuming we wouldn’t see each other again being that he lived on the west coast of the state, and I lived in South Florida… turns out we assumed incorrectly.

We’re still waiting. We like to do things out of order ‘round here. About five years ago, I told him our wedding would be on Friday the 13th, October 13, 2023 because that’s the best date ever, and he laughed and said ok. That date is approaching. He can propose later.
