Emily is the middle child of three kids. Her older sister Shelby, has always looked out for her. Emily’s younger brother, Matthew, always makes her laugh. Rich and Terri, Emily’s parents, have been married since May, 6th, 1995, and taught her what it means to love and be loved.
Taran
Groom
Taran is the oldest of two- he and his younger sister, Mollie, have always been close. Taran has always been surrounded by a lot of love. His parents, Tiff and Jeff, have always shown him how to love someone unconditionally. Taran has been lucky enough to learn about love and long-lasting marriages from his grandparents, Gordon and Betty Bemis and Chris and Laurie Crocker.
Jack
Best Man
Jack and Taran have been best friends since their freshman year of high school. They became buddies through playing video games, and have remained close ever since. Jack and Kate were married in November in 2023 with Taran and Emily as their best man and maid of honor.
Katelyn
Matron of Honor
Kate is one of Emily’s best friends! Kate and Emily became friends in high school. She and Jack were integral in Taran and Emily getting together! She and Em are incredibly close, and never fail to make each other laugh.
Joe
Groomsman
Joe married Emily's sister, Shelby in 2021. Joe is the best big brother Em has ever had! He and Taran have bonded over many family dinners, guys trips, and the fact that they have both been welcomed into the Rathbun family. He and Shelby share their beautiful daughter, Elsie.
Shelby
Bridesmaid
Shelby is Em's big sister, and is someone she's always looked up to. Shelby and Taran have grown close throughout the years, aided by a shared love of Taco Bell. Shelby has been a constant source of support and advice, and truly the best big sister Em could have asked for.
Matt
Groomsman
Matt is Emily's younger brother and a great friend of Taran's. He's always been a rock and an awesome friend to anyone he meets. Taran, Matt, and Joe have all become close through guy's trips to the Rathbun family home in the Adirondacks. Matt brings the party and laughter wherever he goes!
Ariana
Bridesmaid
Emily and Ariana (Ari) have been friends since 2009. One of the best days of Emily’s childhood was when Ari and her family moved next door. They have remained close ever since!
Mollie
Groomswoman
Mollie is Taran's younger sister. She and Em have become close over the years and have shared many laughs and great memories. As Taran's only sibling, he wanted her standing beside him on his wedding day.
Fiona
Bridesmaid
Emily and Fiona met on the first day of freshman year at their Alma Mater, Allegheny College. They wound up living in the same dorm building (twice!), and grew close throughout their freshman year (some call it trauma bonding, but we won't go there). They have been very close ever since, even though Fiona lives in Danvers, Massachusetts!
Courtney
Officiant
Court is Taran's aunt and godmother, and instantly welcomed Em into the family. She is always quick with a joke or a hug, and is someone Taran and Emily both look up to. Court always seems to know what to say... even if it comes with a few tears. Court's son, Coda, is the ring bearer- Taran and Emily couldn't imagine their day without the two of them by their sides.
Anna
Junior Bridesmaid/Wedding Planner
Anna is Em's 'biggest little cousin' and a fantastic wedding planner! She helped with everything from finding a DJ to picking out flowers, and this wedding couldn't have happened without her! Em and Taran have both enjoyed watching her grow into the strong, smart young lady she is.
Clara
Junior Bridesmaid
Clara is Anna's younger sister and another one of Em's cousin. Clara always knows how to make people laugh and smile, and is so excited to be a junior bridesmaid for the first time! Taran and Em have had a blast seeing her grow into the independent, funny, loving girl she is.
Norah
Flower Girl
Norah is another one of Em's cousin, and absolutely loves hanging out with Taran! She was born a week after Em and Taran got together, and has never known a life without him in it. She loves to come to Taran and Em's apartment for sleepovers and movie nights. Norah is a natural leader who loves to party- she is going to be a fantastic flower girl!
Elsie
Flower Girl
Elsie is Shelby and Joe's daughter, and is making her flower girl debut at the wedding! Elsie is a strong little thing who loves to smile and giggle, and Em and Taran are constantly amazed by her. While Elsie is adorable, some germs are too big for her- waves and smiles are a great way to say hi! Although she's got the squishiest cheeks around, Mom and Dad request that we please refrain from touching. Thank you for understanding and helping to keep her safe!
Coda
Ring Bearer
Coda is Taran's cousin and is an awesome ring bearer! He is a funny, kind little guy who loves to joke and play with new friends. Coda is just the kid to be in charge of the rings!
