After endless swipes on a dating app, it was a chance encounter, that we had found each other in April 2018. It took a whole month for us to initially go on our first date. Once we finally met in person, we had an amazing day together which involved going to The Toronto Zoo, having lunch at Markham Station and ending the night of at the Newmarket Drive-in movie theatre. Not wanting the night to end, we both stayed on the phone with each other all night long until we fell asleep.

At what Tara thought was Kurtis 25th birthday celebration at his home with family, Kurtis had a secret agenda. And that secret agenda was .... THE PROPOSAL!!! As the night progressed all of our friends & family gathered around in the family room for Kurtis to begin opening his gifts. Kurtis initially opened a box and mysteriously handed it to Tara claiming that it was for her. Tara then confusingly opened the box which had a noted that said "Turn around". Once Tara had turned around, Kurtis was already down on one knee with the most beautiful ring asking Tara for her hand in marriage, which Tara happily said Yes to forever with Kurtis. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
