Our Journey Begins

Our story began in the most unexpected way. On January 28th, we gathered to celebrate our dear friend’s 40th birthday. Neither of us knew that this night would be the start of our forever. It would lead to something so special, but from that very first conversation, there was an undeniable connection. In a group of undiscovered singers, we sat around at a lounge taking shots and singing hits when the topic of Tarah’s upcoming karaoke party arose. There’s a bit of disagreement about how Marlin received his invite (LOL). Nonetheless, Marlin was eager to be discovered as a singer and he decided he would be in attendance. This was the first of a lifetime of spending weekends together and our amazing journey. We bonded over dining out and the love we share for our families. Before long, what started as late night phone conversations bloomed into more in person conversations. Our friendship blossomed, and it wasn’t long before we realized we had found something rare and beautiful in each other. The night we got engaged, we enjoyed a quiet dinner and Marlin posed the question, “Do you know what I really want?” He then let Tarah know that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and she happily accepted. Looking back, it feels like fate brought us together at the perfect moment. And now, we are ready to begin the next chapter of our story as husband and wife, surrounded by the love and support of those closest to us.
