I was new to St. Louis after moving here to start my career and Tara was in her second year of graduate school at Washington University. I took a chance on downloading the latest dating app, and I will even admit that I paid for a month of the premium version. After some swiping, I quickly matched with the beautiful girl who would change my life forever. We talked for about a week on the app, and I quickly saw Tara’s fun, caring, and loving personality. I eventually got up the courage to ask her for her number, and we left the app behind. But I will always remember the few bucks I spent on the premium edition for having the greatest return on investment. After about another week, we finally had our first date and we clicked from the start. I wasn’t looking at my watch or thinking of a case I needed to work on instead. It was just perfect, and I guess Tara felt the same way because we had a second date three days later, which was followed by a third date three days after that, and the rest is history. As our love continued to grow, I knew more and more each day that Tara was the one. And while I knew long before it that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her, Tara told me we were going to her unique college town of Oxford, Mississippi, for a weekend to visit friends, and I knew this was the chance and May 30 would be the day to pop the question. I asked Tara to marry me in one of her favorite places. Tara fortunately said “yes,” and cars were honking in celebration while driving around the Square; I will never forget the moment. Then, Tara and I met several of our closest friends who had come from all over in a pandemic to surprise Tara and celebrate with us. We cannot wait for what will be the most perfect day when we are able to celebrate our love with so many friends and family. Tara and I love St. Louis, and we cannot wait to welcome you all here for our wedding!
