The Country Doctor Museum

We took Shawn’s daughter, Kyra, here to take the tour & we all enjoyed it! The museum contains a doctor’s buggy which once belonged to Dr. Henderson, who delivered Tara’s grandfather, Herman Henderson Blow.
Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park
301 Goldsboro Street South, Wilson, NC 27893
Lovely park featuring the Whirligigs built by renowned American outsider folk artist, Vollis Simpson. Tara’s grandfather, Herman Blow, met Mr. Simpson & learned about his designs. Soon after, he made his own small whirligig. He put it on the farm where Tara grew up where it still stands today.
