It's quite the debate on who technically gets credit for introducing us - Taylor Casserly or Anna Vonderhaar, so we will give them both credit. We met at Carnegie Mellon, where I was living with Taylor and Tara was playing on the women's soccer team with Anna. Taylor and Tara grew up together, and Anna and Tara were close teammates straight away, so it was only a matter of time before her and I connected. While technically meeting a few times through various sporting events, it wasn't until Anna invited Tara over to what we will generously call Taylor and my clean and beautiful college house that her any I got to spend quality time together. The following months featured Anna trying to get us to hang out as much as possible, and Taylor making funny jokes like "Tara is my childhood friend, none of my college friends should date her" and "Owen you better not be hanging out with Tara tonight" - oh Taylor you jokester. But the inevitable couldn't be avoided, and Tara and I spent more and more time together, even sharing our first gourmet Valentine's day dinner with chicken tenders in the CMU UC. After I graduated, I lived and worked in Pittsburgh, not far from Carnegie Mellon so Tara and I could continue to grow our relationship. Tara's love for me blossomed when I spent almost every week working in Gary, Indiana, and she and her college friends would use my apartment's pool every day while I was out of town! After Tara graduated, and started work in Pittsburgh we continued to work on our relationship, knowing that we had something very special. 10 years after meeting, and 1 absolute menace of a dog later, we decided to get engaged and plan what we hope to be a beautiful wedding with our closest loved ones. We are so incredibly excited to spend this day with all the wonderful people that we have had the honor of getting to know over the years, and who have helped get us to where we are today! Love, Owen and Tara
