Tara moved in next door to Nathan while attending Mizzou their last two years of college and they met on one of her first days living there via mutual friends. After a couple of weeks of hanging out in group settings, the two decided to pursue a relationship.

After being together for over four years, Nathan decided to propose in Knoxville, TN where the couple was living at the time. Under the rouse of taking pictures for his Grandma for her Christmas present, Nathan proposed in World's Fair Park. After the proposal, friends were waiting for the couple at a rooftop bar for an engagement party. It was a wonderful day. :)
