Ceremony Attire - Tropical Formal...What is that?
Answer
Tropical formal wear combines elegant formality with light, breathable fabrics suitable for warm weather, encouraging bright colors and floral prints. Ladies: Think flowy maxi or midi dresses made of linen, chiffon, or cotton. Comfortable sandals or low chunky heels are essential for the terrain (highly recommend avoiding stilettos!) Gentleman: Think relaxed suits in light colors - linen trousers with a dress shirt or a "guayabera" shirt is perfect. Suit jacket is not required and will likely be too hot. Please avoid sandals and sneakers, dress shoes are preferred!

Will the ceremony and reception be outside?
Answer
Mostly, yes - the ceremony will be held in a greenhouse-like geo dome, so it is technically inside, but will still feel like you're outside. The reception dinner and entertainment will be held outside on the property at our nearby Villa.

What can we expect the weather to be like?
Answer
In February, La Fortuna is typically warm and dry, as it is the middle of the dry season. You can expect daytime temperatures around the low 80s to mid-80s°F, and nighttime temperatures in the low 70s°F. While it is mostly sunny, occasional afternoon showers can still occur in the tropical rainforest climate, so packing a light poncho or small umbrella is a good idea.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Yes - we have a number of things planned! During the day on the 13th, we will have an optional local tour for anyone that is interested to join. That same evening we will host a Welcome Dinner BBQ at our Villa! On the day following our ceremony, February 15th, we plan to spend a few hours relaxing at the natural Hot Springs at Los Lagos Hotel Spa & Resort. Please check the 'Schedule' tab for more detailed information.
Question
Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?
Answer
Yes - we will provide group transportation for guests from Los Lagos Hotel to the ceremony, from the ceremony to the reception location, and back to Los Lagos at the end of the night.
