We met at an Independence Day party at a mutual friends'. I noticed John first, as I walked around the house, into the backyard. There he was, sitting on his cooler, off to himself. I couldn't help myself, but setup my things near him. Throughout the day, we would catch a glance into each others eyes, and smile. I asked John if he wanted to go swimming with us, and to my glory, he said Yes. I was flabbergasted when he actually swam into the middle of the lake with me, as my friends chilled in tubes. It was history after that, I knew I wanted to get to know him more. So I invited him back to my house for some cards, and to my delight again, he said Yes. The next day, after him staying all night, was him inviting me to go fishing with him and his buddy. I, of course, said Yes. I knew he was the one that day, but I put up a fight for many months.
It was a chilly day in Frankenmuth, where we had decided to spend our Sunday. It was John, Ian, Nichole, and I walking the town, exploring the shops. John treated us to the famous Bavarian Inn Restaurant for dinner. After dinner, we went to walk the rest of the town, where the magic unfolded in front of my eyes: We were just outside the restaurant, on the main street, where ALL the traffic and pedestrians meet. It was perfect timing for him to step out into the road to stop the traffic (like 10 cars), and people on the sidewalks, and in the restaurants watching his every move. I was not quite sure what was up his sleeve, when he coerced me into the road with him, but I went to him. As I stepped into the center of the intersection, he got down on one knee, and asked me to be his partner for life, his wife. I was shocked, blushing, and happy all at the same time. Of course, I said YES! We have been so entwined in each other, that nothing is standing in our way. No two people, could work better as a team, than John and I.
Our BIG day is a Tale as Old as Time: a boy and a girl, overlooking flaws in each other, to make the most exciting couple ever. Our lives have brought us together, our love keeps us going, and our bond holds us steady. We look forward to celebrating a wonderful beginning to this new chapter of our lives. Please celebrate forgiveness, love, and our Lord for the joining of our hearts. Thank you, and God Bless!
