Do you have a room block for guests?

Answer

Yes, we booked room blocks at Cheeca Lodge & Spa and Playa Largo which is a Marriott property 20 minutes away. Please reference the travel tab where you will find the hotel/room block information.

How far is Cheeca Lodge & Spa from Miami International Airport

Answer

Cheeca Lodge & Spa is an 1 hour and 20 minutes away from the Miami International Airport. You can easily get an uber or try the airport taxi service.

What is Cheeca Lodge & Spa’s resort fee and what does it cover?

Answer

The resort fee has been waived for our wedding guests. Normally, Cheeca Lodge & Spa charges $25 per day/per room. Guests can enjoy the following amenities included in their waived resort fee: - Red Shark Water Bicycles - Paddle Boards - Kayaks and Paddles - Sport courts include: Tennis, Pickleball, Basketball, Shuffle Board - Salt water Fishing Rods and Reels with license to fish from legendary pier - Valet or self-parking - Shuttle service within a 2 mile radius (seats up to 11 guests at a time) - Fitness Center - In-room bottled water - In-room coffee and tea - Resort-wide Wifi

Do I have to stay at Cheeca Lodge & Spa to use the amenities?

Answer

Yes! You must stay at Cheeca Lodge & Spa to have access to full amenities. If you stay elsewhere, you will able to come into the resort for dinner reservations and for any wedding activities including welcome dinner.

Is cash accepted at the resort?

Answer

Yes, cash and charge are both accepted at the resort. You also have the option to charge items to your room number

What will the weather be like in Islamorada?

Answer

In November, the average high temperature is 79 degrees and the average low is 73 degrees.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is beach formal which means summer attire with a touch of glamour. For women, a short dress, maxi dress or jumpsuit are acceptable. For men, please wear either a sports jacket, button down shirt, Hawaiian shirt and slacks. Please avoid denim, shorts, and flip flops.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place on the beach. If there is inclement weather, we will have a tent back up option with side walls.

What can guests do while they are visiting Cheeca Lodge Resort & Spa?

Answer

Please reference the ‘Things To Do’ tab which features recommend restaurants and activities to take advantage of during your stay.

Question

Can I still use the resort facilities once I checkout?

Answer

Yes, you can. Please remember to keep your room key after check out because that is your form of payment for the day.
