If you are traveling and looking for an area to stay, here are our recommendations! Tanglewood plantation is almost equal distance from Florence and Sumter (~30 mins). We will be staying in Sumter and if you are traveling from inland we recommend you stay in Sumter, if you are traveling from the coast we recommend you stay in Florence. If you are flying into Columbia Airport, Sumter would be the closer option. If you are flying into the Myrtle Beach Airport, Florence would be the closer option. Feel free to try to find a VRBO or Airbnb closer to the plantation.
