New Hope and Lambertville are charming, riverfront towns connected by a small bridge. On the New Hope side of the bridge you are in Pennsylvania, and on the Lambertville side you are in New Jersey. Both towns have plenty of art galleries, shops, restaurants, and beautiful views of the Delaware river.
This is a great thing to do if you want to get out and explore the Pennsylvania countryside by water. Bucks County River Country offers Delaware River tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and rafting.
Calling all history buffs! This 500 acre park is where George Washington crossed the Delaware River during the Revolutionary War. The park contains Bowman’s Hill Tower, Revolutionary War soldiers’ graves, stone memorials, picnic pavilions and historic collections.
Philadelphia is a quick day trip from the New Hope area.
