They met in hot yoga class. They talked business. A business lunch turned into friendship. A friendship turned into an intimacy and connection the likes of which neither had experienced before. Sometimes you meet your forever partner when you least expect it. They enjoy hiking, travel, time with family and friends, dance-cooking, volleyball, and dominoes. They enjoy the simple walk with their dog. They enjoy a good meal. But most of all they enjoy the company of each other. Because of this funny thing called COVID, Dan and Tara moved up their Cook Islands vacation by two weeks. On March 17th, 2020, on a beautiful beach in Aiktutaki Dan proposed during a stunning sunset. Tara was very surprised, and she said "Yes." They almost stayed there because of COVID, but they chose to get the last flight back to the US. They planned their wedding at a lovely winery in Carnation, but because of COVID restrictions uncertainty they decided to run away. Because of their flair for drama they were attracted to the recent volcano and hurricane activity in St. Lucia. Luckily the same date was available 1 year later at the winery so all their friends could join them to salivate and celebrate.
