We are due to say I do at 4:00pm! We kindly request your attendance at the venue by 3:30pm to allow yourself plenty of time to find the right seat to watch us tie the knot!
Yes, we do have a dress code for our wedding! We would kindly ask that you include semi-formal/cocktail attire.
The ceremony will be held outside in the garden facing the 200-year-old farmhouse. Should there be rain, the ceremony will be moved to inside the chapel area. The venue will have umbrellas on deck just in case! The cocktail hour will also be held outside on the verandah. The dinner and reception will be held indoors at the loft barn. In terms of footware, we would suggest flat-soled shoes or wedges to avoid sinking in the grass, as well as a comfortable change of shoes to dance the night away!
Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we simply cannot have all of our lovely guests bring a guest of their own. Therefore, we regretfully ask that you please do not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so very kindly for understanding!
While we do love your kiddos, we figure the adults may need a night off for a little fun, therefore we kindly ask that you respect our wishes for an adult-only event. We hope you understand and can still join us on our special day!
We have booked off a block of rooms available for booking at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Carleton Place, for those seeking accommodations while in town celebrating our special day. The hotel is only a 10 minute drive away from the venue. The group code is "taraandconnorwedding" where you can book a room on our block for a discounted rate. Rooms must be booked under our block by May 19, 2026.
In terms of transportation, if you will be choosing to stay local in Carleton Place at the Comfort Inn & Suites or wish to be shuttled to and back to from the central drop off location in at Walmart in Kanata Centrum and the Comfort Inn & Suites. The bus will pick up guests at Walmart parking lot in Kanata Centrum at 2:30pm and at the Comfort Inn & Suites at 3:00pm to go to the venue. The bus will take two trips back from the venue as well. One will be at 11pm and the next at 1am back to the Comfort Inn & Suites in Carleton Place and Kanata Centrum, Walmart for drop off. From there you can choose options such as Uber, Lyft, being picked up, or having a designated driver in order to get you home safe. Drinking and driving is highly discouraged, as your safety is most important to us!
Upon responding to your RSVP, there will be a question space where you can indicate if you have any dietary restrictions/allergies so we can make note to our venue for their awareness. Thank you kindly.
Stonefields does offer on-site guest parking that is located in front of the loft barn on the estate. However, we do strongly discourage any acts of drinking and driving, if you plan on drinking at the wedding, please choose one of the offered alternatives for a way home. Thank you!
