We're Getting Married!

Back in the year 2000, Tara and Austin started Kindergarten at Hillside Elementary School. They were both in Ms. Ramm's class and sat near each other on the class rug. They continued through school on separate paths (boys and girls couldn't be friends due to cooties) but became close friends in the 8th grade. When Tara went to sleep away camp that summer they wrote each other letters, and when she came back they spent the rest of the summer together with their friends. High School is a complicated time and during freshman year Tara and Austin all but stopped talking. However, Senior year they were assigned seats next to each other in English class and their friendship started up anew. They went to college in different states but saw each other on breaks. When Austin's band was on tour they stayed with Tara in Ohio and when Tara wanted to see concerts in Philadelphia she stayed with Austin, but they were still just friends. After college they both moved back to New York City. They started spending most of their free time together, but never made the final step from being friends to dating. Then on New Years Eve, after maybe one too many glasses of champagne, Tara and Austin kissed at midnight. They have been together ever since. They now live together in Bushwick with their three cats, Wallace, Roger and Concrete.
