While their paths had crossed a couple of times before, Tara and Anthony began their romantic journey on January 24th, 2020. Tara, still riding the high of recently completing her first marathon, was heading out to The Wharf Ft Lauderdale to meet up with some friends and family. One of those friends happened to extend a last-minute invitation to Anthony (shout out Lauren Azzam). He eagerly accepted the invite as he had spent the last couple days recovering from a recent appendectomy. Anthony arrived to the Wharf and cast his eyes on a newly single Tara. What a site to behold. Anthony knew he had to get her digits but he was faced with a problem: his mobility was compromised as a result of the recent operation. Not only that, his task was to catch up to a marathon trained Tara. Anthony was slow and persistent in his pursuit of Tara as she pinballed to every corner of the bar. But in a modern rendition of the 'Tortoise and the Hare', Anthony finally caught up to Tara and impressed her enough to get her phone number.

Anyone who knows Tara knows she’s one to relish surprises. Anthony came to learn this fact well during the first three years of their relationship and wanted to deliver the big proposal in kind. With an upcoming family trip to Northern Ireland, the choice became clear. The ideal location was quickly identified as Giant’s Causeway. With the power of the Irish Sea sending waves crashing up onto the stunning basalt columns at the landmark, the proposal spot was perfect. Moreover, it had been calm and relatively vacant during Tara and Anthony’s prior visit, making it an ideal spot for Shauna and Tres to capture the proposal on camera. Good plan, right? Well, as the group pulled up to the Causeway, they were met with a sea of tour busses. Anthony, not loving this sight, thought to himself “These busses and these f*cking bus people are ruining it.” Only, he didn’t think it. Those words seemed to spill out of Anthony's mouth, rather loudly. Naturally, Tara had an idea about what was coming next. With the surprise all but ruined, Anthony dropped his knee beneath a rainbow and Tara said “yes”.
