It currently says closed for remodeling, but I am hopeful it will be reopen by our weekend!

A good option for outdoor recreation rentals (kayaks, paddleboards, etc.)!

Fort Macon State Park

This fort is good for all the history buffs, but also provides great scenic ocean views and has beach access all around.

North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores

Washington is close to Tara's family's home and where you can always find her family doing last minute Christmas Eve shopping! It's a bit of a drive, so definitely best if you're wanting to venture out, but pop into Nauti Life or Cottage Junkies to find some of the best clothes, jewelry, and home decor.
