Things To Do

It is easy to drive around Eastern North Carolina and find little towns with cute boutiques, good food, and interesting museums. These are just a few of our favorite stops in the area!

North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort

315 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516

It currently says closed for remodeling, but I am hopeful it will be reopen by our weekend!

Beaufort Historic Site

130 Turner Street, Beaufort, NC 28516

This is a great place to start your Beaufort visit. They provide tons of information and also have tours available.

Beaufort Linen Co.

331 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516

This is such a cute little shop! They have such neat clothing, jewelry, & home decor, plus it's a great opportunity to support a small local business!

Wind Tide Beaufort

410 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516

Look no further for your perfect t-shirt shop! They are always kind, have quality product, and tend to have great prices.

Beaufort Paddle

424 State Road 1205, Beaufort, NC 28516

A good option for outdoor recreation rentals (kayaks, paddleboards, etc.)!

Fort Macon State Park

2303 East Fort Macon Road, Atlantic Beach, NC 28512

This fort is good for all the history buffs, but also provides great scenic ocean views and has beach access all around.

North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores

1 Roosevelt Boulevard, Pine Knoll Shores, NC 28512

Washington, NC- W. Main Street

West Main Street, Washington, NC 27889

Washington is close to Tara's family's home and where you can always find her family doing last minute Christmas Eve shopping! It's a bit of a drive, so definitely best if you're wanting to venture out, but pop into Nauti Life or Cottage Junkies to find some of the best clothes, jewelry, and home decor.
