During a deployment to the Middle East Gabe worked as an MP from the Mississippi Guard and I worked with the 88m as a driver from the Kentucky Guard. One afternoon a battle backed our bus into a T-Wall and we had to file a police report to get it fixed. Gabe of course was who filed it for us. He wouldnt even hardly speak to me or look my way, literally the only words from him was “Seat belt please” because we had to take him to where it happened and i jumped up in his truck and was just sitting there ready to go. But after all was said and done he found me on Facebook (i guess the perks of such a unique last name) and wrote me apologizing becuase he just wanted to be professional (respected) but he had to reach out and talk. And from there we spent every day, pretty much all day, together. And if we were apart we were video chatting. I returned state side a few months before him and was a MESS! My anxiety got the best of me and i was sure I’d never see him again, but he assured me day in and day out that wasn’t the case. He then proposed, and when he got home we meet each other’s families and fell even more in love. We went down to the Court House on September 25th 2020 and married, but are SO excited to share our love with our Family and friends with a wedding on our One Year Anniversary. 💕
