Mocha Lounge Dupont
A beloved local coffee shop just a few minutes from the hotel and well worth the wait. Here's a little bit of foreshadowing: Tara worked at the Southwest location during college, where two of her favorite regulars were Susan and John, who, as it turns out, are Collin's mom and stepdad.
Vinland Reserve Winery
A charming local winery a few minutes from the hotel. Pop in for a glass or a flight, find a seat outside if the weather cooperates, and toast to the weekend ahead.
The Landing
One of our favorite blocks in the whole city. The Landing is a charming historic stretch in downtown Fort Wayne packed with restaurants, bars, and patios. A couple of our must-tries: the Drunken Noodles at Nawa (Collin's go-to) and the Pineapple Daiquiri at Dana's (Tara's favorite cocktail in town).
Henry's Restaurant
Our first date spot. We highly recommend! A downtown Fort Wayne classic with great food, a laid-back vibe, and a cozy booth in the bar that holds a special place in our hearts.
Conner's Rooftop
Where our love story first began, four years before we knew it. This tiny rooftop bar overlooks Parkview Field, home of the TinCaps, and is the spot where Collin and Tara first crossed paths back in 2020. The perfect place to grab a nightcap and take in the view.
Fort Wayne's Famous Coney Island
If Collin had it his way, we'd be having our rehearsal dinner here. Fort Wayne's most beloved hot dog stand has been slinging coney dogs (chili, mustard, onions, perfection) for generations. A must if you're visiting from out of town!
