We were both nearing the end of our senior year of high school when we were invited to be a part of the debut court for a mutual friend. Being the shortest ones between both the guys and gals, we became dancing partners. We instantly clicked, understood each other's humor, and created a relationship that only grew in love. Who would have thought that being partners in a debut would lead to being partners for life! We are Blessed for what is to come :)

Yes, you read that right. One week after talking, we decided to take on a journey, made it official and began our dating adventures. We grew in love with one another and the rest is history! One week became one month, 1 year, 3 years, 6 years, then 9 1/2 years.

The weekend after my birthday, my family had told me they were planning a surprise birthday party for me. Blindfolded in a car, we traveled to a destination I had no knowledge of and was greeted by family and friends from both sides. Little did I know, they were being sneaky and planned not only a birthday party.... but also a proposal. He waited until sunset and shared a beautiful speech before he kneeled on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage. Of course, I SAID YES! Having our family and friends there made it extra beautiful. A day full of love and happiness that I will never forget.
