If you didn't know, we met on the Carnival cruise glory during a singles night event. We played an ice breaker game called musical chairs, where the guys were the chairs. During the game I just so happened to sit on James' lap 3 times in a row! After that night we were inseparable, we spent every night of the cruise together. We didn't know it at the time but James and I were trying to find each other during the day but were unsuccessful each time. The last night of the cruise, James had asked me to be his girlfriend. Me not knowing what I was doing at the time, said yes. With James living in Pennsylvania and me in New Jersey, James would drive out to see me every week. However, on July 4, 2010, I broke up with him because I thought I was crazy for going out with a guy I barely knew. James was hurt, but never showed it. He still treated me the same and even took me out to eat. We still spent the whole day together. His little quirks and corny lines that day were getting to me. That was the day I truly fell in love with him. We keep seeing each other till it was time for him to leave for basic training for the Army. He proposed to me in October and told me he would be stationed in S. Korea come January 2011. So we both decided we would get married in Dec. because we didn't want to spend any longer away from one another. So my mom and I put our heads together and planned a wedding in 2.5 months! We got married 2 days before Christmas. Now we are planning our 15 year anniversary vow renewal. It took a lot of prayer, sacrifice, and commitment to get us here! We are so thrilled to celebrate with our friends and family.
